We are three friends who met in a city where faces and food like ours were underrepresented. We wanted nothing more than to use our connection and love for our cultures to help women like us find community.

Amber Kazalbash
I’m an Austin transplant who loves good food as much as I love being surrounded by diverse women with powerful stories. As a second gen Pakistani/Muslim American, I’m lucky to have worked on building several culture-first organizations. I hope to bring the same spirit of hunger for togetherness to BGFC!

Ayesha Erkin
Hi! I’m a multidisciplinary architect, recipe developer and digital creator. I’m mixed Turkic and Arab and love to eat. My work focuses on the human experience and the concept of belonging - something I struggled with when immigrating from Pakistan and being a TCK. The solution was to create Brown Girls Food Club; I look forward to meeting you at our events :)

Hamaila Qureshi
I am a designer and daughter of Pakistani immigrants. With a background in the sciences, I pivoted completely to create my own design brand that currently focuses on jewelry. Creating community through storytelling is one of my favourite things and I can’t wait to share that experience with all of you.
